The Road to Pre-Approval Information Exchange: Where Are We Today?
What is happening with PIE today? What are manufacturers and payers doing with PIE and what barriers currently exist? What benefits does PIE bring to both payers and manufacturers?
This session will review the status of current legislation surrounding pre-approval information exchange including the possible path forward. This session will discuss survey results among both manufacturers and payers on pre-approval exchange. In addition, this session will provide a pharmaceutical industry perspective on the current barriers to PIE implementation and potential opportunities for success.

Focus Group: Pre-approval Product Launches: Bridging the Gap for the Information Exchange between Payers and Manufacturers

This focus group will include FormularyDecisions.com® active payer insights on what pre-approval information payers are using, what they want and when they need it. Plus a current payer perspective and insights on opportunities for manufacturers to support payers during pre-approval.

Roundtable: Sharing Ideas on Pre-Approval Information Exchange Implementation
This roundtable will feature three subject matter experts to help facilitate a discussion amongst attendees on implementing pre-approval information exchange between biopharmaceutical companies and formulary decision-makers. Attendees will share their experiences with each other to help inform this peer-to-peer information exchange.
Please note, space is limited to approximately 30 participants on a first come, first served basis. This learning activity will be offered twice: 4:30 pm to 4:55 pm (round 1) and 5:05 pm to 5:30 pm (round 2).
Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy's 2019 Experiential Education Preceptor Award

The AMCP Preceptor Award was established in 2014 to recognize an AMCP member making a significant contribution to managed care pharmacy by being a preceptor to student pharmacists for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) and/or Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE) focused in managed care pharmacy. Dr. Abdel-Sattar will be recognized at an awards dinner on the evening of Wednesday, March 27, during the AMCP Managed Care & Specialty Pharmacy Annual Meeting in San Diego.
